- For sharper photos use a tripod.
•Avoid the midday sun when taking photos– morning or afternoon lighting is best if the sun is out.
•Bring more detail into your photos and fill in shadows by using a flash or carry a collapsible reflector.
•When traveling, carry an extra charged battery, additional memory cards and a lens cleaner kit.
•Choose the soft light of the day – early morning or late afternoon.
•Look to see what is in the background of your shot (a telephone wire? Broken branch? Street sign?)
•Pay attention to how your subject changes during the day and in different conditions.
